I am an Associate Professor and the Learning, Teaching and Assessment Lead in the School of Computing and Digital Technologies. In addition to teaching I have an academic development leadership role where I provide support and guidance relating to learning, teaching and assessment. 

In recognition of my work I was conferred the title of Visiting Professor at Arden University in 2025 and Visiting Fellow at Edge Hill University in 2017. 

Within Sheffield Hallam I am a member of a wide range of committees and am one of the university SoTL leads (Scholarshop of Teaching and Learning). Externally I am a member of the SEDA Excutive Committee and the Association of National Teaching Fellows Committee. 

I'm also a National Teaching Fellow, Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Senior Fellow of the Staff and Educational Development Association, Certified Management and Business Educator, and a Member of the Association of Learning Technology.
