I am a Lecturer in Education and Secondary PGCE Design and Technology Course Leader at Sheffield Hallam University, with over 18 years’ experience in education.

My career began in secondary teaching, where I taught Design and Technology for 16 years and held leadership responsibilities, before moving into teacher education, curriculum development and educational outreach.

I am passionate about creativity, inclusion and high-quality teaching, and I am particularly interested in how design thinking and practical making can transform learning experiences. I aim to support trainee teachers and learners to think differently, challenge assumptions and develop confidence through creative problem-solving.
