I'm a Senior Lecturer in Sport Business Management having joined the teaching team at Hallam full-time in 2022, having spent 10 years working within research and consultancy in the Sport Industry Research Group (SIRG) at SHU. 

I am a graduate in Social Science (MRes) and Sport Business Management (BSc) from Sheffield Hallam University. I joined the teaching team at SHU full-time in 2022. I teach Sport Business Management on our undergraduate and postgraduate courses, focussing particularly on key business functions of sport organisations; the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in shaping the sport industry; contemporary issues impacting the sport industry; and the application of research methods to solve real-world problems in sport business. I supervise undergraduate and postgraduate final year research and work-based learning projects. I also have international teaching experience (in-person and remote delivery) as module leader working with our transnational education partner School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE) to deliver Sport Business Management in SAR Hong Kong. Given my extensive research and consultancy experience, I ensure my teaching applies industry knowledge from real-world projects into the classroom.

Within the Sport Business Management teaching team I am the level 6 lead and academic advisor to students from level 4 to level 7. I place great importance on my pastoral roles, ensuring that students feel supported in terms of their academic progression, personal development and professional development.

My research interests are centred on football, predominantly the semi-professional level of the game. I have publications across several disciplines including; elite sport, public health, sport science & coaching, and sport development.
