EXTERNAL & PROFESSIONAL ENGAGEMENT

I was a member of the national UoA 20 (Social Work and Social Policy) REF Panel for the People, Culture and Environment (PCE) pilot.

 

I have visited University of São Paulo to establish strategic research & innovation partnerships and collaborations.  I also advised on ways learnings from research assessment in the UK can contribute to Brazil's national exercise.

 

I am a contributor to the Open Research podcast, featuring in episodes on the purpose of open research, responsible metrics, REF, the use of AI in research, and EEDI.

 

I am a member of the Northern Impact Network and ARMA.

 

I have been a peer reviewer for Bloomsbury Publishing, specifically their Macmillian Research Skills series.
