ABOUt

Senior Lecturer in Solid Mechanics. I've been involved in research and teaching since 2001, across Manchester Unversity, Queen's University (Canada) and Sheffield Hallam University.

My current research goals are to develop head and brain injury test methods, with a focus on modelling the prevention mTBI (mild traumatic brain injury).  The principles to prevent injury via protective metamaterials are already proving remarkably effective in reducing head impacts, and with further research and support, prototypes can be manufactured at partner organisations soon.

Currently my teaching and research involves Metamaterials, Automotive Engineering, Solid Mechanics and FEA. I also like to be involved in Mathematical Modelling and Forensic Science.
