I joined Sheffield Hallam University in 2014 as a lecturer in criminology and teach on the undergraduate criminology programme and the probation officer training course. I am currently researching 'revenge porn' (non-consensiual pornography).

Before joining Sheffield Hallam, I spent more than a decade working in criminal justice-related posts including roles in probation approved premises (hostels) and offender management teams, and various prison psychology posts.

I am trained in a variety of risk assessment tools and intervention approaches and have substantial experience of working with prisoners at risk of suicide and self-harm and the staff supporting them. I am a graduate member of the British Psychological Society, a qualified probation officer, and a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

My teaching and research interests include justice, psychological perspectives, sex and gender, and ‘revenge porn’ (non-consensual pornography).

My interests include criminal justice cultures, risk management of suicide and self-harm, probation practice issues, sex and gender, and ‘revenge porn’ (non-consensual pornography).
