My name is Dr Konstantinos Domdouzis and I am a Senior Lecturer in Databases at the Department of Computing of Sheffield Hallam University. My main research areas are focused on the study of the Hippocampus in combination with Artificial Intelligence, on the study of Dynamic Supply Chains using Sensor Technologies and on the Decision Support in Digital Economies under Crisis.

I am a Computer Scientist with a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Luton (currently University of Bedfordshire) and an MSc in Computer Networks & Communications from the University of Westminster. I have realized my PhD at the Department of Civil & Building Engineering of Loughborough University focusing on the applications of Wireless Sensor Technologies in the Construction Industry. I undertook postdoctoral research at the Department of Agricultural & Biological Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, United States, focusing on Systems Informatics for Biomass Feedstock Production.

Since then, I joined the Greek Army in order to realize my National Service and also, I have worked as a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Associate/Software & Systems Developer at Whole Systems Partnership, a Healthcare Modelling consultancy, in collaboration with Brunel University. I was a postdoctoral researcher within the Centre of Excellence in Terrorism, Resilience, Intelligence and Organized Crime Research (CENTRIC), Sheffield Hallam University and my work was focused on the EU-FP7-funded project ATHENA; my main role in the project was the development of computational tools for crisis management. In 2015, I became a Lecturer and in 2018, I was promoted to Senior Lecturer at the Department of Computing at Sheffield Hallam University.
