ABOUt

I started at Sheffield Hallam University as a Lecturer in Criminology in September 2015. I have undergraduate and Masters degrees in forensic psychology, a Masters in criminal justice, a PhD in criminal justice (violence and statistics specialisation) and a PgCE degree.

I have worked hands-on with research for a number of years, doing psychological, legal, and criminological research in the United States and the UK. I have been involved in developing large and small research projects and have extensive experience with secondary data management, including individual and national-level health data. My primary research interests revolve around violence (micro and macro level), gambling, cybercrime, theory integration, comparative research and research methods.

I enjoy teaching on a variety of topics, such as criminological theory, cybercrime, research methods/statistics, criminal justice, and violence. I especially like teaching from a comparative perspective.
