I joined Sheffield Hallam University in 2003 following a career in the Sport industry. Over the last two decades, I have held numerous leadership roles within the College of Health Wellbeing and Life Sciences at Sheffield Hallam. These include College Head of Student Recruitment, Deputy Head of the School of Sport and Physical Activity and currently Associate Dean for Portfolio and Partnerships. Within the Associate Dean role, I provide strategic leadership and oversight of the academic portfolio and associated partnerships across the Schools of Health & Social Care, Sport & Physical Activity and Bioscience & Chemistry.

I am a School Governor at UTC Olympic Legacy Park, a member of the Sheffield Health & Wellbeing Board and also the Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals Health and Care Centre of Excellence Steering Group.

I hold an MBA and an MSc in Sport Business Management.

Whilst working within the School of Sport and Physical Activity I held several Principal Lecturer leadership roles prior to the Deputy Head position including management of international partnerships, UK and global recruitment, and Sport Business & Development Subject Group Leader.

Prior to Sheffield Hallam, I worked within the Sport Industry in marketing, sponsorship and event management roles working for a National Governing Body, professional sport clubs, various event management companies and in a self-employed capacity.
