I am a Senior Lecturer in International Business at Sheffield Hallam University. I joined Sheffield Hallam in July 2018. Prior to this, I was a Lecturer in International Business at the University of Bradford, and a Lecturer at Aston University.

I received my BA Hons in Business Studies and MSc in Marketing Science at Ulster University. I subsequently completed a PhD in International Business at Ulster University. I won the best doctoral student paper at the Academy of International Business conference. I have a post-graduate certificate in Higher Education.

My primary research interest relates to the intersection between political violence and international business. I ask questions concerning the linkages between political violence and international firms, and how business stakeholders are impacted by political violence. I am especially interested in understanding the implications of state violence for firms, stakeholders and society. I use conceptual, theoretical and empirical methods.I have published in quality peer-reviewed academic journals, including International Business Review, Industrial Marketing Management, Critical Perspectives on International Business, Multinational Business Review, and International Marketing Review.
