ABOUt
Dr Ramin Bahadori earned his BSc degree in Industrial Management, MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and a PhD in Advanced Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Sheffield Hallam University.
His research interests and experience include the impact of the digital era on manufacturing systems and supply chain management, technology readiness assessment in the context of Industry 4.0, the digital design of supply networks, smart and sustainable food supply chains, fractal supply networks and green vehicle routing problems.
Prior to being a Lecturer, Ramin worked as a Research Associate at Sheffield Hallam University, carrying out multi-discipline research projects directed by Professor Sameh Saad. During this time, he had the chance to be engaged in some industrial/research projects. For instance, they successfully adapted and utilised a leading methodology to guide and justify investment in smart city's research and development projects to achieve the optimum project portfolio. The method is tested in a real case study, which shows how that methodology can effectively implement throughout the worldwide smart cities development to support strategic technology investments.
He has supervised a large number of undergraduate and postgraduate research projects at various UK higher education institutions and has served as a referee for several prestigious international journals and conferences.
