ABOUt

I am a Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Science and Course Leader for the MSc Strength and Conditioning Coaching course.

 

I am also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and teach across taught undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the School of Sport and Physical Activity. I supervise PhD students in areas related to my area of expertise: strength and conditioning. 

 

My teaching and research interests primarily relate to strength and physique sports, with a specific interest in exercise programming and planning strategies.

 

I have several years of experience in the fitness industry. Before becoming an academic, I was involved in roles such as Personal Training Tutor, Strength and Conditioning Coach, European Master Trainer, Exercise Referral Specialist, and Content Writer. In addition to my academic role, I consult privately with coaches and athletes.
