ABOUt

I am a Senior Lecturer specialising in human resource management, leadership, and organisational development, with teaching experience across Undergraduate, Masters, and Doctoral programmes. I hold a formal teaching qualification, which underpins my commitment to inclusive, research‑informed, and pedagogically robust practice.

In 2024, I received an Inspirational Teaching Award in recognition of my ability to create supportive, engaging, and transformative learning environments. I teach a wide portfolio of modules including Strategic and Operational HR, Developing People and Organisations, Responsible Global Business Management, Contemporary Leadership in Context, HR: The Reflective Practitioner, and Applied Business Management Practices.

My research focuses on organisational experiences, inclusion, and the role of HR. My PhD examined the lived experiences of BAME staff working in higher education, shaping my continued interest in equity, identity, and socially responsible HRM.

In addition to my doctoral work, I have conducted and completed quantitative research on MBA student outcomes which led to a conference paper being developed and delivered at the Sheffield Hallam University Guild project to a selection of participants and the Sheffield Hallam University Senior Leadership team, highlighting my ability to connect research insights with organisational stakeholders.

I presented a poster presentation based on my research around the live experiences of diverse academics working in Higher Education which was delivered to a panel at the Diversity interest Group at the University of Greenwich, demonstrating my commitment to advancing dialogue and understanding in this area.

Furthermore, my expertise has been recognised by external organisations; as I contributed to an article by Business Because (https://www.businessbecause.com/news/insights/9301/gen-z-work-ethic) around Gen Z’s in the workplace which has subsequently led to me being invited to speak at the Sheffield Hallam University Work in Progress seminar on my work around Gen Z participation in the workforce. This has led to discussions and community discussions around possible outputs around Gen Z’s in the workplace. This has also led to me being asked to deliver a presentation to Westfield Health around Gen Z in the workplace and the interventions they could put in place to meet the challenges they face in the future.

I have published a chapter on responsible HRM and have written a newspaper piece contributing to public understanding of HR‑related and equity‑focused issues. I am also part of a research bid to evaluate the impact of UK National Parks on the wellbeing and opportunities of minoritised youth.

Across my teaching, research, and wider engagement, I aim to develop reflective, critically aware, and socially responsible practitioners who are equipped to navigate complex organisational challenges with integrity and confidence
