ABOUt

I joined the Physiotherapy team at SHU as a lecturer in 2018 on a split post working between Doncaster and Bassetlaw NHS Trust and SHU. I have worked as a Physiotherapist in a variety of clinical settings within the NHS and in professional rugby league and football. My clinical specialism is musculoskeletal practice and paediatrics and I teach across all BSc (Hons) and Pre/ Post Registration MSc Physiotherapy programmes at the University. I also have an active teaching role on interdisciplinary advanced practice modules within the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing. I am the module leader for the Pain and Advanced MSK Clinical Practice Modules at Level 7.

Aside from my teaching, I am also an academic adviser to students giving me the opportunity to work closely with students throughout their degree to ensure their wellbeing and study journey is enjoyable.

I continue to work clinically in an Extended Scope role as a first contact practitioner in primary care and as an adviser for shoulder instability to paediatric and adolescent patients. I am also an active researcher with on going studies relating to musculoskeletal practice.
