ABOUt

I have a BSc in psychology (University of East London), an MSc in psychological research methods (Birkbeck; University of London) and a PhD (Goldsmiths; University of London). I also have  a PGCert in the management of learning and teaching in higher education (Goldsmiths; University of London).

My PhD used experimental methods to examine the relationship between anxiety, cognitive control, and visual affect. After completing my PhD, I moved to Edge Hill University as a visiting lecturer then moved to Sheffield Hallam University as a permanent lecturer in the year 2019. My research interests focus upon how personality and individual differences relate to mental health and/or cognition and emotion. I teach across a range of courses mainly focusing upon personality and individual differences, mental health and/or research methods. I am available for undergraduate and postgraduate dissertation supervision in these areas.
