My research explores how coaching practice and coaches interactions with players can optimise learning, performance and long-term player development within football. My work is grounded in ecological dynamics and skill acquisition, with a particular focus on how coaches design practice environments, interact with players and facilitate learning within a constraints-led approach.

My research aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice by developing coaching methodologies that are scientifically informed, practically relevant and capable of enhancing player learning and performance across academy, professional and international football.
