Dr Mark Swallow is a senior lecturer and course leader for the construction project management undergraduate courses. He has over 11 years of construction management experience and over 8 years of experience teaching in higher education. He holds a PhD specialising in immersive technology application and a degree in construction project management. His professional accreditations include being a member of the Chartered Institute of Building and a fellow in Higher Education Academy. His teaching and research within the built environment include Building Information Modelling, health and safety, digital technology and project management. Within these areas, he has published journals, conference papers and book chapters with a focus on 4D modelling, immersive technologies and health and safety management.

In 2025, Dr Swallow was named G4C Mentor of the Year.
