I am enthusiastic about supporting students and working alongside staff to make Hallam a world leading applied university. I am a proud nurse and have a background working in acute hospital environments (Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust, Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust).
After working in liver transplant and infectious diseases, I developed an interest in healthcare ethics, completed a law degree, and worked in legal practice. My passion to be part of improvements in healthcare provision and experiences, led me to work across clinical care and healthcare research both in the UK and Australia. My healthcare teaching journey started in Australia, and after completing a Post Graduate Certificate in Medical and Healthcare Education, I have returned to Sheffield to continue teaching and research at Hallam.
