Ewen is a senior lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University and Course leader for UG and PG Tourism, Hospitality, Culinary and Aviation courses within Sheffield Business School.

He has extensive experience in the Hotel, Cruise and Restaurant sector. Managing food, beverage, and event operations both nationally and internationally within large, branded operations, luxury hotels to small independent businesses, included running his own businesses.  

Ewen has been in working in higher education for the last 13 years, having joined Sheffield Hallam University after many years working for another UK institution and gained much experience in UG and PG programmes with Hospitality, Tourism, Events and Culinary Arts. His professional background allows him to bring real world experiences into his teaching and learning whilst also offering valuable support to students. 

He is currently studying for his PhD, researching into the use of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics within the role of Service Experiences in Casual Dining Restaurants.
