A third year GTA PhD student, I study the Effect of Transpiration Cooling on Hypersonic Boundary Layer Flow under the supervision of Dr Adriano Cerminara and Dr Jonathan Potts. The simulations are conducted using Direct Numerical Simulations on the ARCHER2 national supercomputing facility using time provided by UK Turbulence Consortium. In my project, I investigate two aspects of the injection cooling - boundary layer flow system, the thermodynamic performance of the coolant injection and the receptivity of the flow to the coolant injection.
Prior to my PhD research, I worked as a UAV Design Engineer at Asteria Aerospace Ltd in India after a Masters in Aerospace Vehicle Design from Cranfield Universtiy (2019-2020) and a Bachelors in Aeronautical Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, India (2015-2019).
