RESEARCH, INNOVATION & KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE
My research focuses on Art and Pedagogy within Teacher Education programmes but also incorporates Cultural Influence and Ethnomathematics.
PhD study was informed by research in historical impactful Central European Art and Design Curriculum, and Ethnomathematical techniques underpinned by the visual investigation of material culture extracted from the Congo through Imperialism and Exploitation, realising in a sea change in early 20th century design.
Research interests include: creative arts and maths curriculum design and development, pedagogies involved in the learning environment underpinned by research and evidence-informed practice, cultural appropriation and influence, Ethnomathematics.
