ABOUt
As Vice-Chancellor, Liz is the University’s chief executive and senior academic officer. She has overall responsibility for the leadership of the University: from academic performance, standards and the standing of the University, to the quality of student and staff experience, the development of the University’s infrastructure and estate and the University’s financial strategy and plans.
She is responsible for leading and developing the strategic vision and aspirations of the University, working closely with the Board of Governors and leading the University Executive Board.
Professor Liz Mossop is a university leader, academic and veterinary surgeon. Liz has served as Vice-Chancellor of Sheffield Hallam University in the UK since January 2024.
Liz has a strong academic career in higher education leadership. Previously holding posts at the University of Lincoln, including Provost and Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor; and Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Student Engagement and Development, as well as at the University of Nottingham as Professor of Veterinary Education, alongside a senior leadership role in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
